"Angels"

Self Explanatory!

 

"Angels"

Angels dance in sunlit glades,
With other creations...God has made.
Sprites dance lightly in the breeze,
Bringing peace..with joyful ease.

Angels come in many forms,
Some with wings...others born.
A real friend that chooses to stay,
When illness...will not go away.

As "loyal" friends, choose to neglect,
I take the time ...to pray and reflect.
And..call down to earth, those with wings,
To help me face the day's sad things.

From out of nowhere, God's angels come,
Staying until...their job is done.
Be it a kind neighbor..or the winged kind,
Angels will stay..when "friends" are blind.

God's angels choose to never rest,
Opting instead to face life's tests.
Illness comes...and good "friends" soon depart;
Leaving a vacancy...and a broken heart.

That one of God's angels...comes to repair,
Lord...thank You for angels...and Your daily care.

I know little about your religion all though in high school there were many of that faith. They over took Dearborn, Michigan and now no longer go to school dressed in casual clothes like back then. Today their hair is covered. Kathie.

Paul, all of the years I had seizures, had to quit teaching and writing for the papers, most people did not want to be around me, fear I guess. Only a couple stuck close. They were like angels to me. My husband was the best caregiver anyone could want. I was prayed for and healed after I read the whole bible and got closer to God. A 3 year old girl touched me and prayed for the spells to go away. They did and I thank God for sending that 3 year old angel to me at that time. Kathie

Oh I like this. I just read something terrible and went straight to your poems because I knew they would be uplifting. Thank-you for another write filled with joy! :) I really try to focus on the positive. I know sometimes so called friends choose to be less than we want them to, but there are angels, and so many things to be grateful for, so I just focus my attention on those things, and they seem to multiply

Angels are every where, sadly so are bad people. I have been going through things I brought north when I moved here after losing my husband. I found dozens of writes to go over. Many were published in the newspaper some time ago, others not. I thought I had lost all of these writes. I know the stories I wrote were lost. Nice to retrieve some things. Kathie
