When ever the family would see a red cardinal..I told them to pray for my sister..She did too..I painted a cardinal that hung over her hospital bed..My very best friend..God has her now..God bless..Valentine

Today I saw a bright red cardinal and

Old memories came rushing in.

My mind soon filled with pain...

You were on my mind again.

 

Thoughts of laughter and of tears,

Of loving you for years and years;

Remembering all of the places we did go,

Was it that very long ago?

 

I wanted to pick up the phone and say,

How much I am missing you ...today.

But..you wouldn't be there to speak to me,

When will my heart and mind accept and see?

 

You left me and went so far away,

I tried so hard to make you ...stay.

I prayed and pleaded to God above,

 "Please let me Keep the one I love."

 

It is six years ...since you left and died,

Millions of tears for you...I have cried.

Wondering if you knew how much I cared,

Now knowing that life's not always fair.

 

Now I shout to Heaven."I miss you so!"

Just so you too will hear and know.

My love for you...will live through time,

 "I will see you soon dear... sweet sister of mine."

 

 Loving and missing you so much today sis!

Awww kathie , this is truly so sad and so beautiful! I call my sister daily and i know if she were to ever be gone i would be constantly picking up the phone wishing to hear her voice just one more time!!

She flew down to rk. for 2 weeks not long before she died. I cooked all of her favorite things and she could keep them down. I got a thank you card, saying thank you so much for the food and fruit, it was so good while it lasted. To this day listening to her 4 children say all they did for her, I want to show them the sad letters I got from her, but that would not be Christian..Kathie

It has been 12 years now Smitty. Since losing my husband I moved back to Michigan on land that is in our family for years. I pass her old home often. Kathie

John, I have lost 3 brothers and a sister. Luckily all were believers in Christ. My oldest brother was a minister and had a heart attack in his church pulpit.. Miss them all. Kathie

I can only imagine what it is like to have loved a sibling in that manner. I can't bring myself to assume anything so I usually have to be blunt and ask those sorts of questions if I really do want to know.

Raj., there were 9 of us kids. 5 girls and 4 boys. We have lost her and 3 of the boys. We all were close, the last are living right next door to each other. It is not always a disadvantage to come from a large poor family. Kathie
