"Time To Pause"

"Time To Pause"

A Poem by Valentine

    " Time To Pause "

Leaves turning from green, to brown and gold.
As the world prepares to rest, and all is on hold.
Dressing in their night ware ...as they ..lie down to sleep.
All bundled in ....cold and snow..to slumber..so deep.
Leaves falling down, left to wrestle upon the ground.
Picked up and tossed...as the wind blows them around.
A quiet time is autumn...the world comes to rest:
Like a small child held...to it's mother's breast.
Time to pause and think...or...to stop and dream.
As crisp air...returns thoughts to yesterdays..things.
"God" takes the time to paint such glorious views;
To be shared by all in life.....and "you."
Walk through the trees, or tour the country on long rides;
See all of the changing colors, upon the country side.
Store up the pictures...inside of your heart;
So in the depths of winter...they still will be a part...
Of life's sweet dreams...by a warm winter's fire.
In the autumn years....as eyes close...when you tire.

and there is a beautiful rendition of the approach and arrival of winter, to sit by that winter fire again and sleepily dream of life, such a lovely feeling long missed by me, wonderful poem Kathie :)

Thank you Smitty. Kathie
Autumn has just passed in the southern hemisphere Kathie and it isnt so long gone in the northern for us not to remember such vivid displays of colours and cheering ourselves up with the thoughts of days and nights wrapped up snugly in front of fires.
This is charming. I hope to read it again in a few months time so I'm putting it into my library like a squirrel harvesting nuts.
Thanks for sharing my friend.

A beautiful poem my friend. I try to pause my life and decide what is important or not?
