"For Thee"

"For Thee"

A Poem by Valentine

          " For Thee"

Have you ever stopped and wondered why,
Some people are happy, while many others cry?
The rich sit down...and eat a feast,
While others are starving, with little to eat.
One man can walk around in $300. new shoes,
Yet a homeless person...has no shoes to lose.
Why can't those that have...learn to share,
With the world's poor...spread out everywhere.
When serving our Lord,,you give of yourself,
To the very poor, and those with wealth.
But..God's children, can only do so much,
In helping others...down on their luck.
Will you join me..in this simple prayer,
To show this world...just how much we care.

"Blessed lord, I come to You with this request,
That all of your children ,,will do their best.
To help your children...hungry and poor,
So that they will have their needs met, and so much more.
Lord.... none will come to You...unless You call,
I ask You .....not, to let one fall;
Into satan's black.... and evil snare.
Lord, your people are praying everywhere.
Please save, heal, provide for and more,
To help those lost ones... reach..heaven's door.
Soften hearts..and please let people see.
The poor..lost and hungry...are precious to thee.
And dear Lord, just one more request,
Help me to do my part...and to do my best."
"For Thee"

The answer to that is man, and the greed of many. As has been demonstrated recently, the greed of Wall Street has known no bounds, and has tipped the entire world into a parlous situation, possibly worse that the Wall Street Crash of 1929. The capitalist system encourages greed, and perpetuates the ever increasing gap between the 'haves' and the 'have nots'. But interestingly, for the 'haves', enough is never enough. They become obsessed with the getting of wealth, while the poor don't even figure in their plans. So the news a few days ago that Australia's richest man was bleeding wealth at $6000 a minute was hardly sad news - more like celebration! Here was a man who bet $7 million on the spin of a roullette wheel, now crying in his caviar about losing upwards of $2 BILLION dollars. Ho ho I say... and a ha ha, and even a little hee hee!

It is painful to the heart see such a lack of balance, greed dominates the world and so much money is spent on the negatives when it could be used to turn things around, sigh...poignant piece Valentine...

I strongly believe in Karma.
If everyone will start doing something within their reach for the needy maybe then there won't b a child sleeping empty stomach, ever again.
Thanks for sharing this poem on humanity and the unfair life.

Yes. Even God helps those who helps themselves.
we are told that God gave us free will which means the freedom to choose...therefore, as long as there are humans in this world and wealth to be fought over, there will be those who neglect the needy in favour of the almighty dollar...still, there are those who wear $300 shoes and help those around them...

it is up to us to choose how we treat those around us...

Very inspirational, Amen!. I really enjoyed reading. It's too bad that many are filled with greed and selfish desire. Sharing is caring and as long as you and I are doing our part, we make a difference. Well done

Celie, with all of the pain that is in the world now, we need to do more than just care. Kathie
I often read reviews from people I really respect and somewhere in the review the point is lost in the reviers own personnel experences. Davids point is not different from any of us the suffered from the mini crash but this is not a place to voice them. This work is wonderful and is about a problem the entire world is in. I see this prayer as something very personel with a hope that we all will change to help our fellow man and those in need. It is easy to sit back and feel sorry for ourselves and continue to do nothing but complain. When do we stop that usless complaining and get up and put some legs behind our wishes. So this big wig lost 2 Billion so what? Everyday 29,000 childern DIE because we do not support the homeless and help our fellow man. You have to look past the Rich because... YOU... know they are not going to help! But is that any reason for those of us that can help to do nothing. I'm 60 years old and out of work but after reading this I will be working at the mens shelter on the soup line. I only hope that God has his will with me. ........This prayer is wonderful and I will post it on my sites and encourage its thought. Thank You.

Thank you my friend for this great prayer and poem, as always you have the words for every occasion, with the help of the Holy Spirit, keep them coming, and let it rub off into my direction. God Bless you.
Hugs....Annie
