"He Cries"A Poem by Valentine
"He Cries"
Tears slowly running, down sculpt cheeks, Leaving a proud man, humble and weak. Tears born...from a sad good-bye, Proud man shattered, and so...he cries.
They only fall, when he is alone, Or late at night...in his bed of stone. Much too proud, to let others know, He is dying from pain, but it does not show.
Not able to express all he feels out loud, He hides his feelings when in a crowd. But late at night, all of his pain shows, Proud and humble, down"upon" his knees he goes.
He roars out at "God", then is ashamed. Cries out in anger...and accepts all of the blame. Then he asks "God", why He did this to him? Then ashamed...asks for forgiveness again.
Morning comes, and he wipes the tears away, Walks through others...throughout the day. Proud man shattered, but he cannot speak, Refuses to admit...for once he was weak.
Night time comes, and tears fall free, He wonders "if" this... always will be? He begs from God...then roars in shame, Not knowing whom on earth to blame.
Tears fall down cheeks from a sad good-bye; Proud man so shattered, he roars...then he cries.
