Wow I am amazed and left speechless. I loved every sentence of this poem. I loved the lines:
Leaving a world of hurt and cold,
Full of sadness and stories untold.
This poem narrates those true emotions one goes through when their love is gone. Truly well written. :)
(When love is left...alone too long, It crawls within...and then...is gone.) I happen to agree. A bittersweet write composed from the pain of loss. I hear you. ~Sharon
No, I don't believe this at all. Love never dies. It lives deep within an soul and comes back out to "play" when the right person comes along. Lots of painful emotions in this one. Lydi**

You are right dear friend.
"When love is left...alone too long,
It crawls within...and then...is gone."
The above lines I understood. I stood alone for 36 years. Many reasons. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You alone John? That is very hard for me to picture. Kathie
When the first rush of heat passes and the passion seems to fade, that's when love truly becomes a thing of beauty. Not for all, but for a very fortunate few.
Good one, Kathie

Ted, love needs to be fed with kindness, respect etc. It isn't just physical. Kathie
Valentine,
How many of us can read this descriptive truthful narrative and know just what you are saying. I have seen some of the loss you speak and understand somewhat where you are coming from. Love is a tender shoot and is not meant for neglect. We must use our awareness of other's pain and pray and help. I know you have a wonderful heart towards others Miss Valentine. Blessings dear lady...................................Kathy

Kathy, love is a two way street, one has to honestly give it if they expect to receive it. Kathie
it is so true that love requires nurturing, I can't believe it dies entirely if neglected....Those seeds will remain....waiting........waiting for the right nourishment. Fine poem all the same

exactly............don't throw the watering can away just yet
An accurate portrayal of Love and all its possibilities, both good and bad. The first stanza is amazingly well-done. The large font increases the effectiveness of this poem in my opinion, making Love seem larger than life.
Another really good poem, Valentine.

Somehow moving from one state to another and switching comp. co. I lost my fonts. Kathie
I could feel the life of love's essence, needing strength, needing to be fed and nurtured, and yet slowly fading away in neglect. Beautifully painful writing.

Yes we must keep the love fire burning.
Don't let life get in the way.
Remember how you fell in love in the first place.
