Surviving The StormA Poem by Valentine "Surviving The Storm" At times I feel, like a sailing ship, Drifting alone , in the swelling sea. Floating away, as my mooring.....slips. The one tie, that linked "You" and me. The further that I...am cast from shore, The closer I come to the storm. Can I ride this out, or do I need more; For my sails, appear tattered and torn. As the ocean roars, in rolling waves; And I drift as low...as I can go. Just how long can I remain brave; When I can feel, the suction, from below. This appears to be , the most dangerous storm; That this old ship, has ever seen. Will I survive, although all battered and torn; Or will I hit bottom.....and not appear again. Lord, You are, my one Anchor in life; If the line breaks...then where will I be. Lost so far from You...on an ocean of strife, Or gone forever, floating to places I cannot see. God, please let the wind, blow me to shore; For to be away from You, I can't stand any more. written by Valentine [under copyright] © 2014 Valentine© 2017 Valentine |
