NowhereA Poem by Valentine
Nowhere
He ran the race, but it got him no where. For in his hurry... to get through life, Eyes straight ahead, not looking left or right; He missed the beauty in the face of his wife. Over looked God not stopping to think twice. Eyes were blind to the lives he helped create, Much to busy in his mad race through life. Now he sits alone, growing old and gray; Wondering why everyone just walked away? He ran life's race, he thought he had won. Sought family and friends, but there were none. He won his race...but it was a race to nowhere. Valentine © 2016 Valentine© 2017 ValentineAuthor's Note
