Just Once

     "Just Once"

 

She once knew love...had seen its face,

Died on the inside, when it was replaced.

Now she knows contentment and at times...peace.

A life that is shared, but old memories will not cease.

For once she saw...what real love was about,

Has inner peace...yet still lives without.

I love this! It's hard to fine poetry that reminds effectively but this definitely does. I read this over and over and it still enchants me. "Now she knows contenment nd at times...peace," is such a relatable line, my favorite infact. Love is so simple and yet complex and here you really show that. Thankyou so muh for sharing!
