Yesterday's WindA Poem by Valentine
"Yesterdays Wind"
Yesterday's wind upon my face... Billowing clouds, of tattered lace; Gusting just... enough to bring Old memories of forgotten things. Swirling tints of grey and blue... Cold hints of winter's hue; Falling sheets of frozen ice, Chilling thoughts...that still entice. Drops against the window pane, Flowing past all of earth's remains; Icy reminders...of the past, And heartaches that will always last. Each new winter...does embrace, A chilling memory...of your face, And the coldness of a home... When a frozen heart, is left alone' With yesterday's wind upon the face, And frozen thoughts...time can't erase; Wanting relief, from winter's pain... And spring to show...its face again.
