God's Violin

God's Violin

A Poem by Valentine

                God's Violin

In the distance, a sweet melody is heard,

Musical strains, without one spoken word.

Is it a violin... with its four little strings?

Could this tune from it...come into being?

Coming from a distance, but catching the ear,

Creating a longing...to get closer and hear.

It's the wind a whistling, high in the trees,

Creating beautiful music, in the cold winter breeze.

The wind blowing through trees, telephone wires and even through a damaged fence can be quite harmonious. You have added another dimension to this by putting the sounds to words.

So true. You are welcome ...:).................
My first boyfriend played violin...gotta admit it has a certain magical quality...the poem's last stanza remindes me of Led Zeppelin 's 'Stairway to heaven'...the beauty of nature's sweet symphony, of the whistling winds, the silken rustle of trees...truly is beautiful.:))
