Dream a dream for me this night. Chase the dark...far away in flight. Take away all things...that do not care, Replace them with love...if you dare.
Make all of the heartaches fly away; Across the seas...where they can lay, Buried deep in the desert sand... Never again to know just who I am.
Erase the pain....of letting go, Explain my loss....so I will know, That in dreams...hurt can take flight, Just disappear, in a moonless night.
Dream a dream that holds me tight. Please leave on a hallway light. So if losses dreams bring me awake; I'll see the glow and not forsake,
One single drop of the love I feel For in ones dreams...all is so real. Then teach me how to say goodbye; So...with each passing...I will not cry.
Let love glow in dreams for me.... Hurt blinds...and the heart cannot see; Just why God...called them far away. When all inside of me bids them to stay.
Dream they meet a loved one so they are not alone; As God takes them on their journey home.
Loss is never easy, but part of life. Your poem describes what it is to remain behind wonderfully. Good write, Kathy

Sometime kind memories are all we have.
"One single drop of the love I feel
For in ones dreams...all is so real.
Then teach me how to say goodbye;
So...with each passing...I will not cry."
The above lines I understand. We lose people we need and every day of life. We miss. Thank you dear friend for sharing your words and thoughts.

Always my pleasure to read your work and you are welcome.

Beautifully written!
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure they are watching down, protecting you. I love that we have angels watching us. Makes me feel like we're never alone.
Death is such a beautiful thing for those who pass. The experience they must have. We are left here to pick up the pieces of our own hearts. You captured it here. Bless you Valentine.

your poem hits the mark ma'am ..so emotive for those who have shared this kind of loss (we morn all over again).. and compassion in those who haven't ...unless one can write poetry and be so cold of heart to feel nothing .. which i do not think can happen .. well said my friend .. my mind and heart are going through a roll call and appreciate each and every one who has gone before :( we do miss them eh!?
