              Daily Struggles

I have lost my way, again I see;

The easy road is hardest for me.

Following a straight line, in between two points;

I always carve out, curves and joints.

I may try my best, but I am not "pure,"

As much as I might wish I were.

I cannot pretend I am perfect... you see,

When life itself, will not let me be.

I try hard at times to do my best;

Always being put, to another test.

And just when I think, I have that licked,

Life hits me...with a big stick.

I cannot live up, to what people expect,

I trip and fall and say, "What the heck.?"

How can the others, that I have met,

Been born perfect, and not had one test?

No one admits, their life was a mess,

Before the Lord, came along to bless.

If they were so perfect...before,

How could God, offer them more?

Why can't people, admit where they've been,

Say they are struggling daily, to be more like Him.

Good Rhyme and flow, and people will always look for someone to blame, whether thats god or another person. Just do the best you can, all anyone can do

I think we all feel a bit " lost" at times. Having faith in one's self comes from "accentuating the positive and eliminating the negative" as the old song says.
My "flippant " writing is my way of coping with life's difficulties and frustration, as satire helps me to see through the "fog", although it doesn't always point me in the right direction.:-)

I think many of the writers on here find some release of personal feelings in their writes on here. A write can be personal but be written as if it happened to someone else. I know I have some on here that were of my own life's short comings and early family life as a child. Some very pleasant, others ones that perhaps needed to stay hidden. Valentine
