Days Of YoreA Poem by ValentinePut on site in 2012. Now letting readers read it."Days Of Yore" Every time I see your face, I am reminded of a time and place; Back in days of so long ago... Yesteryear...before I came to know. A different place in time and space, And shadowy memories to replace... Any thought of the here and now... A chivalrous time...of kneel and bow. My mind drifts back to days of yore, When gallent knights so gallantly bore, Heavy suits of armor and mail; And satin clad gentry attended balls. Back to a time, that oaths were sworn; Shields and armor, heavily borne. Marriages arranged and dowrys brought, Strangers together...forever caught. You appear to me in bittersweet dreams; Love and bliss...mid-evil things... Cloaked inside of a deep grey haze; Feelings of reality that stays and stays. Were we lovers...back in time? If so, why arent...you still mine? If you were mine in yesteryear... Why aren't...you with me here? Valentine © 2012 Valentine© 2016 ValentineAuthor's Note
