Victim of CircumstanceA Poem by ValentineMy brother is still alive, my thoughts of his trucking years inspired this.
Victim of Circumstance
A very long trek, flying down the interstate; Forgetting when one last slept or even ate. Just hauling freight and making good time; No inkling of the trouble at the end of the line. Hit that blacktop, make those wheels roll; C.B. a squawking, so how would you know? Death was so close...only a few feet away. This will be 'forever', the unforgotten day. "Over and out" little buddy! Valentine
