Life's WebA Poem by Valentine
Life's Web
The web of lies, was spun so well, Intricate patterns, so...no one could tell; Where truth or lie...did unfold, Lace filled plots, with truth...not told. The weaver knew untold patterns of lace, Unrecognized...by change of face. Woe to the believer, caught in life's web; Where pain abounds and the hearts...unfed. Scenic views, that touched...love's face, Where unknown lies could not replace; The snares set for the unsuspecting few; Entangled lives...when truth is not knew. The web of lies...spun like fine lace, Erased all happiness... from the face. For when all truths, would finally unfold; Lies held less pain, then facts...when told. For spun so well, was the web of lies, The captive had...no place to hide. "Untangle me, from this dreamlike snare; Tear down the webs, until all truths... are bared". But...the web of lies, had been spun so well; Not one of those involved..... could tell. Where all of the falsehoods came to an end, And... the complete truth... began. Valentine © 2016 Valentine |
