Of all of the words,

That could have been said;

Those repeated...

Left this heart dead.

Now...words are spoken,

To unthaw my heart,

They come much to late;

To give love a start.

You had your chance;

And...you blew it!

Perhaps in time...

You will get through it.

You say you spoke in haste;

Gee...what a waste!

I remember that in my youth that "gee' was a word that was in vogue! Now, I do not know when was the last time that I might have heard it in conversation!
I liked your poem and the way that it just bounced right along.
I think when I heard the word "gee" back then, I knew that the person saying it had not taken what ever I might have said to them very seriously!
