"Just Life"

"Just Life"

A Poem by Valentine

          "Just Life"
Life is full of hungers...some never filled,
And inner longings that often "eat" their fill;
Of a being...facing all of the world's strife,
Struggling to make it, in todays hard life.

Life is full of dreams, that often die on the vine;
Not from the struggle...that comes from trying.
Life is fullness...then a vessel...empty on the ground;
Happiness and sorrows...smiles and then frowns.

And...love, born in great happiness, can fade away,
To be replaced by another...at a later day.
Life is a struggle...from beginning to the end;
Trying and failing, and then starting over again.
.
You dust yourself off and...begin over anew;
Or give up in the beginning...it is all  up to you.

You are right my friend.
"You dust yourself off and...begin over anew;
Or give up in the beginning...it is all up to you."
The above lines are true. Swim in regret or seek new places and opportunities. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Life is what it is.
You've got to live it to the full.
It sure don't last forever.

Paul, that is for sure. Just look into the mirror and we can see the change. Kathie
yes indeed ... thank you for the encouraging poem Ms. Valentine! its the struggles, pains and disappointments that give us the most valuable of traits .. like empathy, patience, wisdom and faith .. a freeing thing to understand that one can face any challenge ..

Thank you Kelcee. Kathie
Very true indeed. Every time we think we have a handle on how things work and our place within it all, something else always jumps up from a new angle we had never looked at before, leading us all to wonder if maybe the big meaning may just be to live it, learn it and understand that little bit more each day, like an ever changing jigsaw puzzle without a picture on the box to guide us. We realise on an almost daily basis how blind we can sometimes be, as we realise, then wonder how we made it this far without knowing or understanding a particular piece. And we never know how far to completion we are, because the box seems to be never ending. Thought provoking words, beautifully captured.
