"Revolving Door"A Poem by Valentine
"Revolving Door"
Where were you the nights I cried; Laying upon my bed alone? All of the days, I sat and prayed; Waiting for you to just write or phone. Where were you, when others laughed, For I had played the fool again? Believing all that you had said, Dying inside with no helping hand. Where were you when I gave up on life; And did not care what I had become? Just like you, playing love's game... Then leaving... once I had won. All that was good inside...I gave to you; You took and then turned and walked away. All promises...were like drifting sand; Pain was left in me...where you once lay. Now... you walk into my life again., Just like you did to me, once before; Just go back to where ever you came; Love to me... is not...a revolving door. You come back now, that it is too late; That love once felt, has turned to hate. Valentine
