"Just Listen"

"Just Listen"

A Poem by Valentine

               "Just Listen"

God speaks to us in so many ways.
The sun, the clouds, the morning haze.
And the brilliant colors...of the setting sun;
Colors in a rainbow, when "His" promise comes.

The beautiful smile, upon a child's face,
Promises of "His"...love, mercy and grace.
Streaks of lightning...in a thunderstorm,
The sun's sweet rise, on a dim morn.

A " still...small voice" inside of the heart;
Calling, "Come to me, do not depart."
The "drawing" that will not leave you alone,
Until you stop....listen...and then come "Home."

The wind blowing through the leaf filled trees.
A presence felt...when down on your knees.
One bird's sweet song, through an open door;
A deep longing...to listen for more.

Words spoken in church, on a Sunday morn.
Promises from the "Book"..."He" will not leave you forlorn.
Just take a look at.....the earth, animals and sky;
All created...by just a voice, from the "One On High."

Please stop and listen to that still small voice,
Your heart will soon open, and forever...rejoice,
Just turn your face...into a strong wind;
And...listen to all of the "words"...that come from 'Him."
