"Black Fire"

"Black Fire"

A Poem by Valentine

         "Black Fire"
The sun rises...and welcomes a brand new day.
Day and night separate...and lets dreams lay.
Awaiting the sunset, when light and dark embrace;
Black caressing the moon, like a lover's face.

The sun, a fire that night only can quench the flames.
Night embraces the moon, over...once again.
Man touches woman...in the darkness of the night;
Separating at sunrise...in the morning light.

She is the fire...the light of each sun rise;
He the black of night, leaving moonlight in the eyes.
One has the power, to quench the others flame...
The other the strength...to reflect the light again.

Sunrise...when light and dark...separate;
Sunset, when light and dark...meet...and embrace.

This was about natures light and darkness. Kathie
I would have liked to have one single sunrise and sunset depicted Kathie to encapsulate the poem - I found the 'is it night, is it day?' interrupted the flow somewhat. In saying that I really liked the 'separation' idea of night and day and dreams laying until next time.
i also really liked this -
"She is the fire...the light of each sun rise;
He the black of night, leaving moonlight in the eyes.
One has the power, to quench the others flame...
The other the strength...to reflect the light again." - its wonderful writing I felt.
Thanks for sharing this one Kathie.

a really great poem Kathie, first stanza is beautiful:

'Awaiting the sunset, when light and dark embrace;
Black caressing the moon, like a lover's face.'

Wonderful lines, every stanza is a true work of poetry, straight in my library :)

Thank you for your kind words. Kathie
Profoundly beautiful and sensual, these reflections of dark and light dancing just set the imagination to flames. This just all flows so perfectly into the mystery of love.

This was very smooth Valentine and the comparisons of the sun, moon, she, and he. Well written, I enjoyed reading this piece. Thank you for sharing this with me.
