Love does not go away,

It meanders for many a day.

Staying to torment a soul...

A reminder...two halves are not whole.

Love stays...inside of the heart,

Reluctant... to just depart.

It tries its best to hang on;

Although... the soul has gone.

Love does not quickly walk away,

It slowly dies...becoming yesterday.

When my brother was widowed, in 3 months he was with someone. It is going on 2 years and I am still waiting for him to come north and pick me up. I do expect part of the feeling to slacken with time. Kathie
