"Fly Away"

Fly away to a haven, far away and above,
Where love is more, than just a mere word.
A place that lies...hazy on the mind,
But offers hope, and pleasures oh so kind.

A haven for all of the...weak at heart,
A place to begin a brand new start.
Far away, from things that are unkind;
Away from where, the blind lead the blind.

Fly away to a place in my arms;
My love will keep you, safe from all harm.
Hope is there and also...pleasures untold,
Love offers a life, worth more than mere gold.

Love is more, than just a mere word;
Where teardrops in silence...can be heard.

True love is indeed priceless and all empowering. I agree though - the four letter word we human use to describe such an all encompassing experience kind of diminishes the effect but makes conveying it to the reader (as well as you've done here Kathie) all the more puzzling and worth the effort.

A tenderly written love poem. I like the use of the word "Haven", I think it's a great word and a very purposefully potent word in conjunction with this love poem.

Most individuals can likely relate in a desire to embrace Love and avoid everything else.

You know what deep love is you share it in your poems so dearly. I love reading you. Your words of love have a lot to say. If only I was loved so very much in this simplest of ways life and love would of be A+ and I would have a lot to discuss and say a lot of things about how I had a great home life.
