"Resurrection Day"

"Resurrection Day"

A Poem by Valentine

"Resurrection Day"

He comes to us with nail scarred hands,
All part of...His Father's plan.
To give the earth a second chance,
Choose the Savior and...your life enhance.
He chose to come here for you and me;
Sacrificed His own life on wood from a tree.
Upon His shoulders...He bore our sins,
That we might have a chance to live with Him.
His own heart broke...that very day...
For His Father in Heaven, had to look away.
He cannot look...upon our sins...
Even though His own Son died for them.
Remember what happened on Good Friday,
Nail carrying hands...took Him away.
In three days...He arose...for you and me,
Broke the bonds of death...to set us free.
Easter should be called...Resurrection day;
Its more than an Easter egg hunt...holiday.
Stop to think...to pray...in sweet repose;
He gave His life for us...but...He arose.
Upon His shoulders...was piled our sins,
That we might have a chance to live with Him.
Now He comes to us, with nail scarred hands.
He over came satan...with His Father's plan.
