"World In Your Hands"A Poem by Valentine
World In Your Hands
You reach for the stars while the moon lies at your feet...sleeping. Crawl inside of a stranger's heart. while love lies at home...weeping.
You crave the warm summer sun, yet curse its blasted heat. Toss coins to strangers...yet... kick stray dogs at your feet.
You could hold the whole world in the palm of your hand...yet you always step upon others, and...do not give a damn.
You donate to charities that others might live. While in your own home... you have nothing to give.
Wishing to ride high... in the presence of kings...but your soul is just an empty space, you have filled with nothing.
What little you had left has dried up your insides. You have reached for the stars, and then let your own soul die.
If you held the world in the palm of your hand; nothing would change..as... you cannot feel...you are damned.
You reach for the stars while the moon lies at your feet...sleeping. Play games with other faithless hearts, while love lies at home...weeping.
