"Perhaps"

"Perhaps"

A Poem by Valentine

   "Perhaps"

Perhaps...she cared too much,

Wished for a life, beyond her touch.

Mayhaps...she saw the starlit sky,

And blindly let life pass her by.

Perhaps...she dreamed too much,

Longing for a wedding, lace and such.

Mayhaps... she reached for an impossible thing,

Home, children and a wedding ring.

Perhaps...she loved too much!

Love is out there ...just hard to find for some. They need to broaden their scope. Kathie
Beautiful and amazing poetry dear friend. The perhaps and chances , are a words that lead us to places we need to be or not. I like the old wisdom. Take no chances, know no pleasure. Thank you dear friend for sharing the excellent poetry.

Old father saying. He had five wives and 11 children. He took a lot of chances.
This piece reminds me of a young girl, I once knew. Her shelves, lined, with romantic novels. She'd read them religiously. Now and then, I'd catch her with a smile, painted on her lips, while she'd stared off, into some daydream. But when love came, she'd flee. She would pour her heart into school. Has an amazing career. But each time love came, she'd flee...Till this day, she still reads her romantic novels.
She has grown in to a strong, beautiful, independent woman. This time it's the men, who seem to flee...:)

Beautifully written Valentine. With such lovely and soft notes.

Sometimes I wonder about that myself Valentine, is it so wrong to wish for such things...it is a hard thing to love so unconditionally, blessings...
