Betrayal

Betrayal

A Poem by Valeigh Starr
"

Do you really think I care for you so little that betraying me would make a difference?

"
I still care.
I care enough
to miss you
to be mad at you
to be hurt by you

Don't mind me.
I'll stay over here, quietly burning
while you carry on with your life
that has nothing to do with me.

Except it has everything to do with me!
You scribbled over the lines where I should have been central.
How long can you censor me out
before you notice
it's not working
it's not
I'm not
I can't
wish

It stinks when you care and you can't turn off the caring. The sad fact is, the person doing this may never notice. Very sad. Well written...your feelings are honest and you are obviously very hurt.
