SnowfallA Poem by Valeigh StarrI really like snow. Yeah...that's just about it.Cold. The air's too dry. I'm sick. Of life, and also just sick. Skies are gray and they've been that way for too long now. My mind is muddled; what am I even doing? Why does it matter, really? Dull mornings, tiresome classes, next? Ooooooh. I look outside, and I see magic! And I just know, Everything is going to be okay. I needed that snow. They often say Time heals all wounds. That's a laugh. Wounds leave scars. But I'd agree, Time wounds all heels. Snow heals faith. It's so beautiful! I can't help but marvel as soft flakes fall to the ground. No one can convince me snow is harmful. It's the best medicine for my soul, so who cares if it's not so great for my body? There's a reason we call it a blanket of snow: Snow wraps the earth in a cuddly blanket, and I can't help but forget how terribly cold and dangerous the weather might be, because it's snow! Nothing can be wrong, all ends with a coat of silvery snow. Just this once, I can believe everything is truly okay.
