Needless Assault on his Name

Needless Assault on his Name

A Poem by Valciena
"

High school bullying from the point of view of the person being bullied.

"

Just as the dark sets in

The light pours out

His mind fighting to keep the demons out

He screams and shouts

“Didn’t you love me?”

His inquiry goes unanswered

Doubt lingers and all he receives

Is a laugh in his face

Humiliation

His image is wrecked

No one can ever know what he has done in respect

To the lives he touched

The damage he has done

The light he put out

The love he stomped out

Guilt precipitates in his mind

It begins to dissipate

It fades

He survived the needless assault on his name

Guilt no longer casts its effect

And he holds no shame

He held out and made it through the needless assault on his name

this begins to reveal to those who have never experienced such torment the internal battle and strength one has to keep going and keep a belief within themself
