Needless Assault on his NameA Poem by ValcienaHigh school bullying from the point of view of the person being bullied.Just as the dark sets in The light pours out His mind fighting to keep the demons out He screams and shouts “Didn’t you love me?” His inquiry goes unanswered Doubt lingers and all he receives Is a laugh in his face Humiliation His image is wrecked No one can ever know what he has done in respect To the lives he touched The damage he has done The light he put out The love he stomped out Guilt precipitates in his mind It begins to dissipate It fades He survived the needless assault on his name Guilt no longer casts its effect And he holds no shame He held out and made it through the needless assault on his
