Chapter 44

The next day, Void and Lumia went out into the woods and after traveling for a while they came across a road. Soon a red and black car and a blue motorcycle droved up and Void said, "Well it's a good thing Vain sent you guys. Though I can't have you guys go any further in case you spook people. So we'll be driving you guys from here." Heo's voice then said, "Of course, that was why master summoned us far away." Fen then said, "It's too bad their development of technology wasn't more advanced. Though I guess they would be worried about having advanced AIs." Void then said, "That is the case with most worlds. They don't know what a newly created life will do. Will it help you or revolt against you?" Heo agreed with Void and said, "It is as you said, though it probably determines how they're treated. If you were newly made and shoved into the world where you had to always work, it wouldn't be fun." Fen then said, "Yep, though we were made to protect lady Luvia. She treated us kindly and even Vain, despite not showing it, was a great master to us." Void gave a small laugh and said, "Well they are a great pair. Now then shall we go get the others and meet up with him?" They both said, "Yes sir," so Void climbed into Heo and Lumia rode on Fen. Void rolled down the windows and said, "It's been a while since I last drove a car." Lumia laughed, putting on her helmet that Fen provided, and said, "It has been a while. It's fun to always run and fly everywhere. But driving is also fun." Lumia held the handles and revved the engine, before taking off down the road doing a wheelie. Void laughed and said, "She's having too much fun." Void then pressed down on the pedals and took off after her.

Rexalia climbed onto the bike, putting on a helmet, and hugging Lumia from behind. Ruby, Flayna, and Nezerand excitedly got inside the car and sat in the back seat. Veto also got in the back with them and buckle them in, while Luxia sat down in the passenger seat. When they were ready to go, everybody thanked Florona and Redigur for taking care of them, and after they finish saying their goodbyes they all left. Rexalia screamed and held Lumia tightly when she did a wheelie. They continue to speed down the road at seventy miles an hour and drifting by every curb. After two hours of driving, they reach a city but the children were asleep in the back. Void laughed and said, "They had a lot of fun enjoying the ride, but it is pretty relaxing that it can put a lot of people to sleep. I'll like to get them a hotel to sleep in, but no money. So the first thing we need to do is get money. We'll split up from here and find jobs. Then when we have enough, we'll meet up, and then stay in a hotel." Luxia then said, "Do you think it will be that easy, Void? Remember what the mayor told us. That, people in the city will be warier and will probably neglect us because of the war. We probably won't get a place to stay much less a job. We'll have to travel all the way to the human's nation in order to get those stuff." Void then sigh and said, "Well you're right about that. I was really hoping to get them in a fluffy bed before night fell. Though I guess we also had to meet up with Vain and Luvia. So let's get to the hospital first and we'll work from there."

So they arrived at a hospital and Vain was waiting in the lobby. Once he saw everyone coming, he stood up and said, "What took you guys so long?" Void laughed and replied, "Traffic, anyway how is Luvia doing?" Vain replied, "She's doing alright, give her a few days and she'll be back on her feet. Though it's not like she would've died from the start. If we could, we would've used healing magic and she would be perfectly fine." Nezerand then asked them, "Then why don't you use magic?" Void forgot he hadn't told the children yet so he said, "Well this world treats magic like it's not real." Ruby then said, "But Magic is real." Void laughed a little and said, "Well to us it's real. But to them, it's not and they can't use magic either. So while we're here, don't show anyone you can use magic. There are some people who view it as evil and they might hurt you." Vain then said, "If you guys are done talking. I'm gonna take a look at Luvia." Vain started to walk away and everybody followed after him.

Vain already knew her room and told the nurse he was going to visit Luvia with everybody. The nurse then said that only family members can see her, so Vain said, "Well I am her husband. Those two over there, are Veto and Luxia. They're my brother and sister. These two are Void and Lumia and they are Luvia's family members. Rexalia is Lumia's girlfriend. And finally, these kids are mine and Luvia's. The twins are Ruby and Flayna. Ruby has a ponytail and Flayna has twin tails. The little boy here is Nezerand. Say hello you three." They all greeted the nurse and the nurse said, "They're really cute. Well since you're all family. It's alright for you guys to visit her. But if she's not feeling too well then please let her rest." Vain nodded his head and they all left. As they were all walking, Lumia ran up beside Vain and said, "Are you sure it's fine to call me and Rexalia a couple?" Vain stared at her and said, "Why the hell are you asking me? Go and asked the person in question, stupid." So Vain turned her to face Rexalia and shoved her away. Lumia and Rexalia were face to face and everybody walked away leaving the two alone, though people were still walking by them.

Lumia then took a deep breath and asked, "So are you fine with what Vain said?" Rexalia blushed and thought about it, so Lumia said, "If you don't want to be in a relationship with me then you can refuse. I won't mind, after all, you're free to love who you want. Though if you do find someone you love then I would be happy if you told me. Anyway, let's go, we shouldn't keep the others waiting." Lumia then turned around and was about to walk away when Rexalia grabbed her left hand. So Lumia turned back around and waited for Rexalia to say her thoughts. But it was obvious she was nervous, flustered, and her thoughts were all over the place. So Lumia decided to make a move and see where it will lead. She found a janitor's closet, opened it, and pulled Rexalia in as she closed it. Lumia pressed Rexalia's back up against the wall, giving her a kiss on the cheek, and when she didn't resist Lumia gave her a tender kiss. She then pulled away and said, "So, can I take this as a yes?" She nodded her head and Lumia gave her a long passionate kiss, before breaking away and saying, "You're so cute Lia. So cute I want to eat you up right now. But we'll wait until we have a proper room. So for now, I hope my kisses are more than enough." So Lumia gave Rexalia one more kiss, before licking her lips, and they both left the closet.

Soon everyone was in Luvia's hospital room and they started to talk about their plans. Void said, "So first thing that is an issue is money. We have to find work and that won't be easy as pointed out by Luxia. So we might have to travel further away, though we'll only do that when we really asked around. I want to believe that some people here won't judge us without first getting to know us, personally. Is everybody alright with that?" They all nodded their head and Void said, "Alright, then we'll split up from here. Veto since you don't like work stay here with Luvia and the kids. Rexalia you can also stay behind. You're still not comfortable with people, right?" She nodded her head and Void continues talking, "Okay, then if we don't make any money or get any place to sleep. Then we'll have to sleep in the car and rely on the food we saved. Well, let's get started." Void, Vain, Lumia, Luxia, and Rexalia left the room. Even though Void told her to stay behind, she wanted to help and said, "As long as I am with Lumia, I'm sure I'll be fine onii-chan." Void smiled and said, "Alright, but don't lose each other."

Vain left inside Zec, while Void and Luxia left inside the car, and Lumia and Rexalia left on the bike. They asked around for work and were rejected multiple times or they didn't get a response back. Before night arrived, they had finished asking every place for work and were refused. So they had no choice but to have the kids and Rexalia eat the food they stored and sleep in the car, while Lumia and Luxia stood on guard. Vain went back into the hospital to stay by Luvia's side, while Void and Veto walked off into the city. As they were walking they saw a silver hair wolf boy in front of a human child with black hair in an alleyway. The teenager was well dressed in a blue and white suit with gold ornaments attached and the child had on a lovely pink dress with white frills. Void and Veto continue to watch them and after hearing that he was trying to cheer her up and even asked her if she was lost, they decided to walk away. But they both stopped and quickly ran back towards them when they heard the child shout stop and help. Void and Veto soon saw two gray cat men beating on the wolf boy and a white cat lady taking the girl away. The lady was about to get in a black van when the boy grabbed her leg and said, "Stop, kidnapping is a crime." Veto was about to draw his guns when they heard the sounds of a police siren. The lady then said, "Crap the police are here. Hurry and get him off me."

But the policeman, with brown hair and dog ears and tail, shouted out to Void and Veto, "Hey you, the man in the mask and your friend stop." They both stopped and Veto said, "Huh? Why? What did we do? There's a kidnapping happening over there." Veto pointed in the direction they were heading and the cop looked, but all he was an unconscious boy on the ground. He looks back at Veto and said, "Are you sure it's not assault? I might have to take you two in for questioning." Veto then said, "But we didn't do anything. We were going to help him." He then said, "I'm sorry, but I was called out to investigate a suspicious looking person." Void then said, "I take it that's me, because of the mask." He nodded his head and said, "Yes sir, I'll be happy if you're willing to cooperate." The officer took out his handcuffs, so Void put his hands together, reached them out to the officer, and he cuffed Void's hand as well as Veto's and sat them in the backseat. The cop then radio for an ambulance and Void told Lumia what had happened and told her to go help the girl. Lumia said, "Alright," got on Fen and took off down the road. Void breathed a sigh of relief knowing she'll be saved and after some time they were taken to the police station.
