Chapter 39

Once they returned to the mansion, Vain's summons all greeted them and Vain asked for a report. Luxia jumped down from her seat and stood beside Vain as she wrote down everything Zec said. Seems some people had been spying on the place, but they never came any closer or try to barge in. While they continue talking, the kids exit the carriage in a rush and ran towards the mansion. Luvia told them to be careful and not trip, as Rexalia exits the carriage next. But when her feet touched the ground a black magic circle formed below her and black tendrils rose from the ground. They were about to wrap around Rexalia, but Luvia pushed her out of the way and they wrapped around Luvia, pulling her into the magic circle. Rexalia managed to grab Luvia's hand and tried to pull her out. Everybody saw what was happening and rushed to help, but Zec, Vain, Void, Luxia, and Lumia were blocked by hooded figures. While Nezerand blocked a six hooded figure's blade, before getting kicked back. The hooded person reach his hands toward Ruby and Flayna stood in his way, arms stretched out shielding her sister. He grinned and was about to grabbed Flayna when Sia threw knives between them, making him retreat back. Sia stood between them and Nezerand got back up and stood beside Sia ready to fight. Lem and Ray couldn't help as they were busy fighting multiple summoned golems and dragons. Veto and Heo were the closest to them, but Veto, Heo, and the entire carriage got swatted away by a golem. War then flew out of the mansion and towards them.

The golems tried to stop him, but he easily passes through their hands and was about to grabbed Luvia's hand when he was struck from above by lightning. The flash of lightning slightly blinded Rexalia so her grip loosens and Luvia was swallowed into the magic as it quickly disappeared. Once that was done, all of the hooded people backed off and stood in a line blocking their way to the castle. One of them said, "We didn't get our target. What should we do now leader?" She replied, "There's nothing we can do about it. We'll just have to stick to the plan." They all held their blades in reverse grip and said, "Yes ma'am." Void looked at Vain and said, "Well it's obvious where Luvia is and that their real aim was Rexalia." Vain then said, "I know, it was pretty obvious." Void then said, "Alright, then you guys go on ahead and I'll keep them busy. Void then teleported Vain, Veto, Luxia, Lumia, and Rexalia to the town's entrance. Void popped his knuckles and said, "Now it's just you guys and us. Heo, Sia, and War watch over the kids. Lem and Ray keep doing what you're doing and Zec you're with me." They all nodded their heads and Void signal to their hooded guests with his hand saying come at me.

At the entrance, a group of adventurers had gather even Tedgy's group and Tedgy said, "Sorry, but we were paid to help keep you busy." Lumia and Rexalia drew their swords and Lumia said, "We can handle this. You guys go on." Luxia then said, "Are you sure?" Lumia nodded her head and said, "Yeah, after all, I still have to repay him for what he did to Rexalia." Luxia laughed and said, "Alright, we'll be going on ahead." They all jumped up and over them as Lumia formed her bow and fired arrows at their feets, propelling them forward. Soon Vain, Veto, and Luxia reached the castle and a bunch of knights were in front of them. Luxia then said, "Judging from this, she's probably at the far back of the castle." Veto pulled out his guns, smile, and said, "So... time for rocket?" Luxia nodded their head and they all jumped into the air. Vain and Veto laid flat in the air, with Veto's guns pointed at Vain's feet, and Luxia kicked Veto's feet. Sending them both forward, crashing through walls, soon they were starting to lose speed, so Veto loaded special bullets, and pulled the triggers. Veto landed in the middle of the castle with knights surrounding him and Vain was propelled forward by blue orbs below his feet.

At the end of the castle in a large room with a magic circle drawn on the floor, Luvia had created a barrier around her shielding herself from her captors. They continuously barrage her barrier with melee attacks from the side and magic attacks from above. Melli then approaches the knights from behind and they all made a way for her. She gave them the signal to back away and the magic casters stop casting magic as well. Black fire surrounded Melli and when it died down she was wearing a black dress and had demon wings, tail, and horns. She then attacks Luvia's barrier with black flames from her hand. Soon cracks form in her barrier and the king smile and said, "As expected of a demon princess. A barrier of that level is nothing to her. Though we wouldn't be doing this if they hadn't got the wrong person. The sacrifice would've been completed sooner and the demon kings revival would've been finished already." When Luvia's barrier was weakened enough, Melii punched it with all her strength and shattered it. Before rushing in and pinning Luvia to the ground by grabbing her neck. Melli raised her other hand and was about to strike her when someone crashed in through the roof.

Everyone paused and looked to their right, waiting for the dust to settle. All they could see was a man with black hair and a scar on his left eye. Luvia smiled and thought it was Vain, but once the dust settled it wasn't Vain. The man was wearing a red scarf, black long sleeve shirt, pants, gauntlets, and metal boots. He also had a black mask that only covered the lower half of his face and red lines etch through his gauntlets and boots. He also had two swords strapped to his waist and he had both arms. He looked around the room and said, "No one here is worth my time." He was about to leave the room when the knights surrounded him, so he stopped, and that's when he recognizes Luvia on the ground. He smiled and said, "Hm... I see that he wasn't lying, you really are alive. If you're here then that means either he's here as well or you're here alone. Either way, this might be a good waste of time." He then drew his left sword in his left hand and his right sword in his right hand. Revealing an engine blade in his right and a gun blade in his left. He rested the engine blade on his shoulder and pointed his gun blade at the knights and said, "Come at me if you're strong and give up if you're weak."

But before they could fight him, Vain crash through the wall behind the king and landed in the room. The Knights quickly gather around their king and the man lowered his gun blade. Vain saw a demon girl on top of Luvia and fantasized for a bit before coming back to reality and rushing towards her. He drew his sword and swung at Melli, but the man got in the way and blocked it with his engine blade. Before swinging his gun blade at Vain, making Vain step back and avoiding it. He then fires several magic bullets at Vain and he rotated his sword quickly to blocked them. The man then rested his engine blade on his shoulder again and Vain asked, "Who the hell are you?" The man took a quick glance at Vain and replied, "I see you're missing your left. Though I'm sure that makes no difference, after all, I'm sure I wouldn't be so weak with only one arm." Vain was confused and said, "Huh? What the hell are you talking about?" He stabbed his gun blade into the ground, removed his mask, and said, "I am Vain, Vain Faltorun. Let's have a good fight other me."

CT was watching everything with his magic screens and he started laughing. He then said, "About time they meet their real parallel self, well Vain anyway. Though Void thought Vain and Veto were his parallel self, they're actually his alternate selves. Though I can't blame him, alternate and parallel worlds are not something you can experiment with and investigate." CT then change the screen in front of him to Void and said, "Looks like he finished those guys easily. Well, I hate for him to disturb their fun. Should I interfere again?" A silhouette with a male human body, demon horns, wings, and a tail stood behind CT and said, "I can't believe you gave power to those humans because you were bored." CT then said, "If you got a problem with it then you're more then welcome to do something about it." He then said, "I will. That man name Void is so far the most dangerous one. It will be bad to allow him to continue to get stronger." The silhouette instantly disappeared and a woman, wearing a black cape with a hood covering her face and carrying a scythe, walked up behind CT and asked, "Was it really fine to let him go?" CT then said, "Well I did create you guys to lessen the amount of work I do. But just let him do what he wants to do. Besides if Void kills him, I can recreate him. But it probably won't be easy to kill him, since you guys were created with powers close to mine. I'm really getting excited to watch the outcome."
