Chapter 22A Chapter by Michael YangInside an abandon and worn down house, a man is pinned to the ground, by Void's right foot, as he hangs up on Luxia. Creating a magic portal and doing what he promise to Luxia, before returning his attention back to the man. "Now then... where is she?" "I won't tell you." "I see, I already know where she is. I was trying to give you a chance to repent. I already pardon you guys once, hoping you'll behave more properly, but it seems I was wrong. What is bad will always be bad. If you just told me I would've let you go." "W-Wait..." "No." A white beam shot out of Void's left hand, vaporizing him into nothing, and Void teleported away. He appears in front of a horse drawn carriage and it continues speeding towards him. Void stomps his right foot and spikes, made of earth, destroyed the wheels. Sending the driver forward and Void grips him by his head. "You have anything to do with this?" "N-No, your majesty. I was simply paid to get them out." "Hm... I see. Then wait here." Void place him on the ground and walked towards the fallen carriage. He pulled the doors off completely, tossing it aside, as he reaches in, and pulls out a light blue hair woman. "Hopefully I didn't keep you waiting, Yuni." She tried to reply to him, but a cloth was tied around her mouth and her legs and hands were bound. Chains stretch out of Void's clothes and removed her bindings. A well dress man inside the carriage climbed out and grabs Yuni's leg. Void looks down at him with a scary expression, making him withdraw his hand, climbing out, and landing on the ground. A group of people on horseback were soon racing towards them. The man smile and ran over to them, welcoming his allies. Void then got on the ground, fixed the carriage, before putting Yuni back in, and getting the driver to take her back to town. Once they were gone, Void turn his attention to his guests. "Guess I was too soft on you rebels. Know this, you have only two options. Run and never show your face in front of me again or... face my strongest magic. I am a very patient and understanding man, but know that there is a line that should never be cross. Cross it and you'll suffer the full wrath of my anger, who you are won't matter to me." An extreme pressure was soon shot out from Void and towards his enemies. It took them all of their strength not to faint from it, even the very horses they were riding knew how dangerous Void was, and wanted to run. But the rebels kept them under control and the noble man sat on the ground, shaking, and wetting his pants. The rebels' leader sigh and order his troops to retreat, leaving the noble man behind. Soon they were out of sight and Void starts to relax. "Hey." The noble man turns to face Void, his face filled with dread. "Come on, we better head back." His face was soon filled with confusion at Void's word. "Your family is waiting for you, are they not?" A smile then forms on the man's face and he walks beside Void. As they walk, the man nodded his head at everything Void said. Saying he understood that there will be no third time. Void finishing his talk, thought to himself, "Guess I better revive the dead person. Everyone deserves more then a few chances to better themselves. Even my own councils, were able to be nicer. After all, everyone deserves the right to fix their sins. Yeah, yeah, so I better work harder so Yuni and Lumia could, peacefully, be happy together." Several days later, everybody gathered in Void's office. Luvia, Lumia, Luxia, Vain, and Veto all listen to Void talk. "Seems someone is pulling some strings behind the scene. Probably that dark knight Lumia fought. If my guesses are correct, he's planning to do what Vain and Lumia specialize in. Devouring the negative energy within people and to do that, I'm sure, he's intentionally riling people up. The more people he influence the more he can get. So we'll try our best to minimize the damage, until he feels ready to come at us. When it's time to fight him Vain, Lumia, or myself will deal with him, understood?" Everybody, but Vain, gave an answer to him and with that the meeting was over. Lumia, Vain, and Luvia left the room, while Luxia stayed to work with Void, and Veto stayed to eat the snacks. Once Vain and Luvia approach their room's door, Vain walked away, and towards the training grounds, while Luvia went inside. Cecily was reading with Freena and a blonde hair woman, on the bed. Luvia sat down next to her and asked her a question. "Are you feeling better, Relean?" "Uh... yes lady Luvia. Thank you for worrying about me." "Your welcome. If you need anyone to talk to, remember, I'm always here." Luvia smile at Relean, before Cecily crawled over to her, and sat in her lap. Luvia and Cecily read the book together and Relean smiles at them. Before remembering what happen at the stream, she pulled out Vain's sword, and was about to thrust it into her. When Luvia rushed over to her and stop the sword, with a barrier, before turning her around, and hugging her. Vain then send his shadow arm through the shadows, grabbing his sword out of Relean's hand, before dragging it into the shadows, and putting it back in its sheath. Zec looked at his master and said, "I thought as much. Master really likes playing the bad person, so that you're wife can be the nice and innocent person she is." Vain didn't say anything to Zec's remark and just continues staring at the fire, while Luvia tries to cheer up Relean. "Everything will be okay. I know it hurts, I know you think life is rough, but killing yourself helps no one. Do you think the people you care about would love to see you die? To see you throw your life away?" Relean stays quiet and Luvia continues, "If they're not here anymore, then don't you think you owe it to them to see what they didn't? To accomplish what they couldn't? To enjoy life for them? If you were to die, who would think of them? Who will keep them warm and alive in their memories?" "Y-You don't understand anything! How do you know what I've been through? What I've lost? If you lost everything, would you still want to live?" "I do understand. I wanted to kill myself so many times. I wanted to disappear so much, but... my husband save me so many times. I feel like I'm a burden to him, like I'm only holding him back. If I could, I would die just to free him from me. But he told me I'm not doing it for him, but for myself. That I couldn't live feeling the pain building inside me and the deep hole that I was falling in to. I was just falling into it endlessly and I just wanted it to stop so much. No one was going to save me, no one wanted me, no one was going to reach their hand out to me, and drag me out of it onto solid ground. But he did, he always reach his hand out, and pulls me out of it. No matter how many times I fall back into it, he always takes my hand, and never let's me go. He let's me stay beside him, love him, and live with him." Luvia hugs Relean tighter, pressing Relean's face into her chest, while she pats her head. "But... we're strangers, why do you care?" "We're not strangers, the moment we met each other, we became friends. So cry on me, talk to me, laugh with me, and live life with me. I'll show you that the world is not such a bad place, just like my husband." Relean then cries in her arms and they stayed like that until she calmed down. Once she did, Vain walked over to them, and stood by the stream. "So think you're stupid enough to live with the rest of us dumb asses?" She gave a small giggle and nodded her head, saying, "Yes, I'll try my best." "Good, then you guys better sleep. Life is a battle and you can't win battles if you're tired. After all I wouldn't want you to disappoint my wife." "Me too, but first... allow me to introduce myself. I am Relean Maleto." "Call me Vain." "Nice to meet you Relean. I am Luvia Faltorun." All three of them walked back over to the camp and soon fell asleep, as Zec and Ray were on guard duty.
