Birds do it. Bees do it.A Poem by Dripping Chocolate MadnessIt's only common sense to assume the smaller creatures do, too.Butterfly and Bug, They laughed together as they sat Teasing, poking, shoving, joking About both this, AND that. When suddenly, her mood grew dark And she sadly said to Bug "I'm not quite sure if this is just a friendship... Or it's love." Bug looked up, his heart had jumped Into his buggy throat. He wasn't sure if this was more of her teasing... Some cruel joke. He smiled and he swallowed hard And thought up his reply "It's ok. I'm your Lovebug. And you're my Butterfly." He wasn't sure how she'd react Or if she thought him joking But the silence she replied with... There were so many words unspoken. He stroked her wing, and looked at her, and said "I love you, Miss." He didn't even mean to do that... Or give a follow-up kiss. But it was done, and there they were: Still Butterfly, and Bug. Two tiny little insects Wondering if what they felt was love.
