This poem highlights something that I suffer from, in life . . . the way most other people get much more intense about feelings & friendship & stuff (than I do), so that every word & action is overloaded with meaning, when lots of things that pass between people are nothing, just a grain of salt. I'm having this problem to the extreme right now, as I sit on my wilderness perch with flames licking at my ankles & people are freaking out becuz I won't evacuate yet. People are so worked up about everything, all the time, they can't comprehend how I live. I'm just sitting here for another day or two, soaking in the extreme quiet becuz everyone else has evacuated around here! This is as beautiful as life gets, to me. So what if there's a fire roaring on the other side of the ridge? Excuse my rant. The best lines in your poem, for me, are those regarding a dove . . . some creatures just can't be captured & held (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

You're awesome. I hope you have someone that gives you all the hugs in the world because you certainly deserve them.
Thank you for always being so thoughtful. :)
And yeah, that sounds wonderful.

In a strange way.
I can sense the two minds here, to say or not to say, to express or not to express.
Just that state of mind can be killing sometimes. Better to cross the bridge either way :)
The lines ending, especially with the CAPS. Quite a way to stress the verse of feelings.
Thanks for sharing, was a delightful read.

Just a quick exercise in how clever you can be while still maintaining an appropriate level of ridiculousness.
(It used to rhyme, then the emotion censors got a hold of it.)
Was fun to write, but I thought it was way more obvious than it came across I guess.

Not a writer, but I do it anyway.
I'm also not a chef, musician, masseuse, guidance counselor, philosopher, or survivalist.
But again: never stopped me before.
I DO, however, happen to be a giant p.. more..
