Glass Joe

Glass Joe

A Poem by Dripping Chocolate Madness
"

Round 1 Fight!

"
Fears assuaged, but...
Still in a cage
Still trying not to cry, or rage
I can see your worried face
Although you act like stone:
A hardened block for one to strike
With heavy hammer, or the like
An anvil full of fear and spite
Bearing the burden, alone.
I wish for you to just release
All anxiety, and find your peace
It's buried there, just beneath
Your softened, stony surface
You can let it out on me.
With gnashing teeth, and fists that beat
Thash until it's gone, you see...
I'm sure that that's my purpose.
And so, M'lady... Please employ
Me for your punching bag
For your chew toy
Turn all your fear and spite to joy
And we'll forget about what hurt us.

This is a fulsome expressive rant in fine poetic style. Reminds me of a poet-friend -- I've been editing his book of poetry & I try to be calm & kind -- but at one point I got riled & told him a few things that might not have been easy to hear. Instead of being hurt or pissed, he was delighted! He said it was fun to watch Mz. Cool (me) go ballistic for a change. Your message sounds like someone who wishes the other person would cut loose & just say it like he/she feels it, instead of "making nice" all the time! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Surely the hurt willing to take on anothers hurt, despite the pain that allcomers have caused, must be a love story in the making. I mean, don't get me wrong, I applaud your nobility and all, it's just that I don't know anyone I'd take more than a chinese burn for. (only joking ladies)
But that is love, isn't it? Wanting to take anothers pain and letting their knowledge of it end.
A most excellent and thinkle provoking write indeed.

You guys should put your dukes down.
No one deserves to be a punching back.
I like the poem though for it's rhyme and creativity. :)
