Seussian DrivelA Poem by Dripping Chocolate MadnessAppropriately MadI can feel you pushing But you seem to use a cushion So as to spare me any harm And while pushing me away You also tell me: stay. Spoken through your gently nudging arm For, if you want me gone I know that you are strong And capable to rid yourself of me But I think my words (I know this sounds absurd.) May have got your secret interest piqued... So you can tell me how Inevitably now, You know that I will someday find another But to me, it's clear All I ever want to hear Is the voice that always melts my knees like butter So whether go, or stay I tell you on this day You're really going to have to start to hustle When we REALLY touch If you REALLY want to push You better hope that you have worked that muscle. You'll meet with fair resistance And sweet, chocolate insistence And attempts to plant kisses on your face And staring at your smile While slowly growing wild I'll turn your pushing arms to an embrace I'm stronger than you are And crazier, by far And I know you know I know you think I'm bluffing But given half a chance I'd take that sideways glance In both my hands and eat it like a muffin You're really something sweet And good enough to eat Even if I have to tie you up But please don't make me do it (Unless you are in to it) Because then you could not give me a hug Miss Thing, I call you fair With your coca cola hair And your eyes and smile and chin and rosy cheeks But the thing I can't resist Is your kindness and your wit And the voice that always seems to melt my knees.
