How We Do

How We Do

A Poem by Dripping Chocolate Madness
"

Make someone smile today. Like, right now. DO IT NOW!!!

"
Paint the town in shades of brown
Spread the sweetness all around
Throw cocoa powder on the ground
And celebrate the day!
Whitewashed fences gain a shade
Surrendering their faded greys
Colored, now in chocolate haze
And wondrous scents abound!
Hold a reservation culling
Have no regrets
In life, be willing
To baste your body with chocolate pudding
And smear some on your face!
So, cheer and say Callooh, Callay!
And let no man stand in your way
With candied eyes, and spirits gay
Embrace the madness fully!

On the surface, this seems to be a fun enthusiastic invitation to cut loose . . . but I also read some serious philosophy here. My fave: "Whitewashed fences gain a shade" . . . which seems to suggest that fences (blockages) that are whitewashed (fake brightening) are getting shade (criticism) from this message. The chocolate theme is well done in many of our favorite nibbles (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

You know, I just realised that subliminal advertising does work, because I now want to rewatch Charlie and the chocolate factory, as well as have a table sized slab of Galaxy caramel for breakfast.
It also makes me think of the delight on a childs face at having a chocolste smeared face, but the parents would be horrified, and most likely if its their mother, think spitting on a handkerchief and giving you a spit-wash is somehow more hygienic??? &?
Mothers eh? Where would we be without them? 😀
Right! I'm off to find some chocolate. Might even snort a few lines of primo grade cocoa powder to get theparty started 😀

Well dang, you hit my weakness of chocolate haha. That kid Augustus in Willy Wonka was really living the dream :p We could all use a little more brown goodness in our lives.

Amen, brother
Now this is getting out of hand! I suggest an intervention and a trip to Chocoholics Anonymous. Need to shake this addiction badly! That aside, I enjoyed the flow and rhyme here.

Melted chocolate tends to get out of hand. It's one of its intrinsic properties.
To baste your body in chocolate pudding and smear some on your face, how utterly decadent and totally delicious.
