Many Forgivenesses BeggedA Poem by Dripping Chocolate MadnessAnd far too many liberties takenPretty bird, little bird, pretty please don't fly I've a wish for a fish, for a Cajun fry And a bird, such a bird as you seem to be Would enjoy to employ such a thing for free There's a place, made of grace, and the headiest wine Where I've slept, and I've dreamt, near a dozen times In the wood, there I stood, and I watched you cry Laying there, with your hair spilling down your spine And I wished, like the fish, to be free of my Tethered bonds. I'd respond. And I'd make you mine.
