A Futile Prospect

A Futile Prospect

A Poem by Dripping Chocolate Madness
"

I can still see your light

"
She tries to hide behind the moon.
A rogueish star secreting her light from the world.
Glowing, radiant diamonds
Under a dusty lampshade.

Those hidden gems can't stay hidden long. They're meant to shine.
Nice one here. A delicate beauty waiting to blossom.

She thinks no one notices
But a lampshade makes for poor cover
