Her Eyes

Her Eyes

A Poem by Vianna

Shhhhhhhhh, shhhhhhhh.
The snake shoos away the rats.
He lets no one deep in enough his lair.
No one but the vixen,
the one who brings him flowers, not screams.
So pretty the blossoms are,
so beautiful the vixen is.
Her kiss means loyalty,
her bite mischief, and
her touch seduction.
Almost everything is fleeting, almost
everything... except her eyes.
Her eyes mean love.
Not fear, not hatred,
not lust, not disinterest... but love.
The only thing he ever wanted.
The only thing he will never let go of.
The only thing he will never leave alone.
The vixen's beating love is the snake's heart beat.
