Oh yes, yes, yes. This is exciting and spot on. This has been my experience and I love how perfectly you express it. Reminds me of William Blake - no bird soars too high, if he soars with his own wings. But here it is "your own two feet" and that has strong connotations. Your poem reads like a joyful celebration as well as a guide for living! Truth is though, that this way of living comes about through life's learning, which I found messy and painful before i learned some of the lessons and then learned - as you express:

The only way to move is forward
With courage and conviction
With purpose and intent
With your own two feet
