Big brown cow butts in the sunA Poem by Alex Cookkids
Big brown cow butts in the sun. That is what my daughter said when she was ten. We lived next to a ranch and saw cows everyday. The marvelous things she would say.
I wish I could go back to those days and hear again all the marvelous things she would say.
When the semi trucks drove by hauling sand from the mine. She called them melon mushers. A new word to me.
I still call them that today. The most marvelous things she would say. I think of those things almost everyday. © 2015 Alex CookAuthor's Note
