TrickedA Poem by Alex CookspiritTricked
It awoke me that night as I a lay a sleep. An evil presence I could not see.
I turned on the lights and searched the house. I could feel its presence but it I could not see.
A noise out side gave me a fright. I looked out the window to see, and there it was looking back at me.
I barricaded the doors the windows too Nothing would get in when I was through.
I would be safe now. It could not get in. It could not get me. Oh, but I had been tricked you see. For I was not alone, It had remained inside with me.
A trick by it, played on me. © 2015 Alex CookAuthor's Note
