Traded

Mirabelle's side of the trade now.

Kneeling on the polished floors Mirabelle Zelene’s lips were pulled back in a hate filled sneer. How could her own people do this to her? How could the queen she had served since she was just a pup be able to turn her away like a piece of rotted kill laid at her feet? These were stupid questions to ask she knew why her queen had so willingly traded her for safety and it wasn’t for the pack it was for her own selfishness. She had replayed the whole scene over in her head as the guards had dragged her down the hall rather rudely. Even now on her knees before this loathsome king she was still replaying the scene in her head. The trees were parting to let view of the kingdom and their queen a fair skinned woman with red wolf ears and tail walked before them her head held high while Mirabelle and her brother Baric followed after her their heads bowed low in submission to the ruler. She loathed the feeling of submitting to such an awful ruler but it would not be long until she could challenge her for her title. Then she would not have to submit anymore. The queen had stopped them just before the gates. Turning to her people she raised her hands and all the heads of the clan turned to her in attention.

“We are crossing into unfamiliar land ruled by the fox king Basil for safe passage one of us shall be offered up for the better good of the pack. Now if there are no volunteers I shall pick…”

The queen’s hand moved over her pack before a wicked smile crossed her lips as a clawed finger settled on Mirabelle.

“You.”

Mirabelle could see her brother gasp as she looked at the queen. There was no mistaking the smug glint in her eyes that of a woman who was only out to protect her crown. Turning her head she can see the muscles in her brother’s body ripple and tense as his black wolf ears perked up in protest.

“You can not send her away she is my sister can you not take one of the lone wolfs?”

Mirabelle smiled some at her brother’s desire to keep her. Her brother was not the worse looking of the wolves but he did stand out with his black ears and tail which did not blend well to his long white colored hair and golden colored eyes the only thing they shared and got from their father but he knew the queen’s decision was final and no amount of pleading would change her mind especially since Mirabelle was the only threat to the queen’s crown and position. Mirabelle saw no point in arguing with the queen now she knew she would be back in time for the dance but before she could say goodbye to Baric and promise him nothing would happen to her and she would return Basil’s men had gotten a hold of her and dragged her away from the only family she knew. Now back on the polish floors of his palace she could see the man who she presumed was Basil sneering at the way she behaved but he probably never got ripped away from his family or traded for selfish needs but what took her by surprise was his handsome face falling from his sneer too look at her and she could almost see a glint in his eyes and maybe she would have been more flattered is only she did not hate him so much for accepting her queen’s trade.

They maybe short now but perhaps I shall make them longer in the future when things are actually playing out more. Again ignore all the stuff like grammer spelling ect because I am still tryin!

This was wonderful. as if you're right there with her. It's also nice to know her name. It makes this more personal, like a journey you get to take with both her and basil. Only wondering who's pov you'll do next.
