I have scars in my heart

Open wounds on my body

A bruise in my brain

I missed you

I hated you

But lastly I loved you

Tears stain my cheeks

running down my broken chest

falling on the wooden floors beneath my feet

My hands remember your skin

My lips remember your mouth

My ears remember your empty promises

I miss you

I hate you

But mostly I love you

How can I forget you?

How can I love again?

How can I survive with scars

the wounds

and the bruises you left me in?

I've fallen for you 

You lied to me

You left me

for dead.
