MIA

MIA

A Poem by V.E. Taylor

The absense of the fleeting breeze
that comforts on tired mornings
exposes the pockets of hatred
embedded in the walls

Swallowing rage like a giant pill
running not knowing from what
ignoring the calls and shouts
blinded by sheer desire

Who wants to live inclosed by glass walls
secretly governed by fixed puppets?

finally arriving at the cloud castle
collapsing on the soft pillows
looking down below with worn eyes

Knowing that the return will be inevitable
but for the moment lost
in the far off land of nostalgia
