Savior of Nightmares

Savior of Nightmares

A Poem by Uzair
"

In search of destruction, the absence of hope may i call it.

"
Savior of Nightmares, dazed I stand
Curtains of White, ploughed through the land.
Afore dawn I strike, with vengeance of past
Raising the vanished, among the million lost.

Savior of Nightmares, fragile I seek
In the valley of deceit, there is no peak.
Lives of men, marred by fear
Of dreams of dear, not pain and tear

A little bud of green, not an inch tall
Tattered by winds, leaves still too small
Nascent, he dreams of raising high
Like the many, buried near by

This sole hope, must be curbed
This envisioned peace, disturbed.
Desire of prosperity, proved a vanity
as aids In, fathoming, the sham authority

That carnage, paraded to him again
Mutated bodies,  dead still in pain.
cries of vain, sobbing of blood doused rain,
all mundane,  and yet humane !

Green gets blurred, as it falls gray
Shivers with his ghosts,  as I foray.
Hope shrinks, as his pluck shrivels
His heart wails, his world swivels

Astound!  His dream persists
The reel ends, the force exists.
In defeat, I turn away
Proclaims he,  before the first ray.

“I dream, not of valor
 Of freedom,  freedom from struggle.
 I dream, not of height
 Of peace, peace from might
 I dream, not of glory
Of recognition,  recognition of my existence.
For with freedom, peace and recognition
I shall have my valor, height and glory”

PS : Hope lives, as always?
Aha Dahlia, Sigh! In your memory.
The dream makes me alive
Else, dead I am.
