A Romance Clothed in Sadness

A Romance Clothed in Sadness

A Poem by Stormy Skies With Sunshine
"

This is about a girl who falls in love, but it saddens her because he is the type to make her fall in love, and then leave her and then come back again etc...

"

I met you, you loved me, or so I thought

Now I always beat myself down

We met, I was happy,

You took my hand, and I was grieving

We ran away, to get away, from this cruel world…

It was a romance clothed in sadness

Boy, don’t you see, what it is that you’re doing to me?

You know I won’t, be able to resist,

I get happy, then you come running, running back to me,

You take my hand, I start grieving,

We run away once again,

And it's a romance clothed in sadness

And then the cycle starts all over again,

Boy don’t you see what you’re doing to me,

You know I won’t be able to resist

I met you, you loved me, or so I thought

Now I always beat myself down

You came along, I was happy,

You took my hand, and I was grieving

We ran away, to get away, from this cruel world…

And it was a romance clothed in sadness

Boy, now I see what it is you’re doing to me

You left, and you made me cry,

Now it’s time, once again for the to start all over

Only this time, oh it’ll be different this time

Goodbye, only this time, I hope it’ll last forever,

Because we can’t keep doing this to each other

It's so cute to read romances of such innocent times. It is such a beautiful feeling to have when the simplest of things meant the world
