The Way Of Your StrengthA Chapter by Ursula Kay VosA poem from the mind of Ursula Kay Vos
The Way of Your Strength
You have a way With not saying anything Yet I know all
I need to know If you love me When the cards are down Your silence is at times a draw
Your strength and poise The way you lift me up When things are rough or hard I can't stand alone its you Holding me
Your silence drives me crazy I try to bat my eyes Hoping that you'll bend Hoping if I cry Maybe then if you care You'll change your mind
You stand rigid as a statue On a cold and snowy day Unyielding to me Or to my seducing or to My careless ways I cry, bat my eyes and in the end I see your still standing rigid
The man I love Staring silently Back at me Tell me please I beg I plead
Yet still you stand Gazing, your eyes fixed On me As I search Relentlessly
Frustration builds As I pain to see What's standing Right in front of me
The Man I Love Gazing back at me Lovingly
Tell me, tell me! I cry, I plead.
I'll show you, you say. As you finally speak.
