Her Living Eyes

Her Living Eyes

A Poem by Ursula Kay Vos

The beauty of words within lyrics

yet to be breathed

like a sleeping baby

lying sweetly

on his mothers chest

words for which time nor space

can ever encase

the feeling of the first mornings dew

kissing its first petal

or loves first taste

things for which there are no words

rather only hopes

of one single glimpse

like the salty spray

loves hidden waterfall

in that wonderful and magical place

looking down upon rainbows

from what must be heavens above

only to find you're still alive

and the grass still tickles your toes

and in that moment

you've glimpsed heaven

he did too

in your eyes

all he ever wished for

he's found in you

watching you

as the wind

whips through your hair

as you gaze creation

his eyes lovingly stare

your scent is the sweetness

his nose searches for in the air

as you look in wonder

at the delicate blooms

upon the thorny bush

soft aromatics of lavendar

wafting through the air

small glimpses of heaven

preserve sanity for one

a day here

a moment there

no stress out here may roam

as you gaze on creation

in all of its glory

your face softens

and youth returns

forgotten are the stories

the woman who stands

is strong and wise

she knows to cherish

she knows how it feels to cry

she breathes in the soft silent air

but she is not alone

He stands with her there

She gazes at nature

and she feels its peace

But she is his respite

in her he feels relief

They breathe together

softly

silently

together they smile

walking slowly

they cherish these moments

walking hand in hand

Nature is her love

He is her man

She finds it all so beautiful

She cherishes him so much

today she saw something new

she looked and saw his love

deeper every day

she see how deep it has grown

she sees how he has cherished

every moment they are alone

How he breathes in her scent

and watches her with love in his eyes

she looks knowing now

He loves her living eyes

Chuff me. That was good. I feel totally overwhelmed by the imagry, the love, the sensation that simply flowed from the screen and into my brain. Wonderfully stimulating. It set's my mind off on a thousadn ideas. Great work
